Can anyone give me some workout pointers?

I need to lose about 30 pounds and firm up my thighs and butt as well as my arms and abs. Yeah so pretty much everything! I am not sure what to do, everyone says that if you don't do weights right you will bulk up, and I don't want bulky, I want long, lean, toned muscle. Can anyone help?

    Well there is soooooooo much I can tell you and othre people can tell you - but the first thing you need to do is set some real and objective goals, you need to set a deadline for these goals and then you need to acknowledge the bad habits in your life that are contributing to your current unfit/ unhealthy state. Type these up and print them out big and bold and stick them up in your room at your office, keep pne in your car.....keep one on your person and make sure you let the close people in your life know what you want to achieve so that they can support you and aid you along.

    Don't worry about getting bulky - most bulky female bodybuilders take steroids and testosterone to get to that size.

    I wish I could type out everything right here and now....but I might as well write a book. Here is my fitness bible www.bodybuilding.com.... There are articles for women and forums with real womean and real fitness issues. Take a look - i guarantee it will be worth your time.

    For now I say do those things I mentioned above, cut out all sugary carbonated beverages, alcohol, sugar based fruit juices etc, do not eat after 6-7pm, eat 5 small well balanced meals a day, drink at least 1-2 litres of water a day, try to cut down on the starchy carb based foods (potatoes, white bread, rice) - cut out the snacking (potato chips, chocolate, ice cream)......If you really want it - it's gonna be hard work and it's gonna take some time.

    It took you your whole life to get were u are today....so undoing what you already did I going to take some serious effort patience and dedication.

    P>S Dont be afraid of using free weights or weight machines - if you build muscle - muscle burns fat and tones you up nicely. Just practice good form ;-)

    Don't be afraid of bulking up. It won't happen without A LOT of effort. The extra muscle will make you look lean and shapely. Take a look at the fitness mondel Monica Brant (www.monicabrant.com). She lifts weights. Is she too bulky?

    Try the Body For Life program on www.bodyforlife.com. It will tell you everything you need to know from what to eat to what exercises to do. It really works. Take a look at the book Body For Life by Bill Phillips as well. Hope this helps!

    The way to go about it is to be progressive and steady on you excercise plan. I think the easiest way is to get a pedometer at walmart and start walking around where you live, in the morning. Add a hundred pace everyday and it won't take long before you get a huge boost in energy and fitness.

    I lost a lot of weight by walking about 2 miles a day. I hope it work for you too.

    hi my name is summer what helped me to lose weight pretty fast was well i got a walk away the pounds video f/ wal mart i started out doing the 2mile i do it regulary every other nite its kinda exausting at first but once you get use to it its a breeze try it and see i also see a weight doctor too and if you drink reg pop stop i did cold turkey i was addicted to pepsi the first week i was light headed but after that i was fine now reg pop tastes funny to me this is just a tip it might work give it a try:)

    If you are into videos try these. They are fun and work great, and there is a video for every trouble spot of your body.

    initiate out sluggish. pass approximately 30 situation-free laps to commence. day after immediately, do 32 and upload 2 each time you pass to artwork out. as quickly as you hit one hundred laps, i does no longer advise doing any further, merely artwork on including velocity on your laps.

    go for a long long walk. say 10 kms a day
