What happens if you missed filing last year and have no way to get your old pay info?
2004 I missed Filing taxes due to unforseen extreme circumstances. Leaving a long held position (later returning to it in 2005) I was forced to hold three small positions in small buisnesses, one of wich is closed. The other two I have obtained and lost the paper work to three times and can no longer retrieve it. Now I need to file 2005 and dont know how to proceed.

If these businesses filed your W-2 info you can contact the IRS and they can give you a print-out. Don't worry they won't bite they will be glad you're trying to fix things.
If you don't have a local office their toll free number is in the tele book.
