I'm having a Mozilla Firefox problem?

So, I just downloaded Mozilla Firefox a couple minutes ago- but it won't let me go to the internet (I snuck on IE to type this up) but do you have any idea why? How can I fix this?

When I try to go somewhere online on MF, it brings up this message:

Unable to connect.

Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at www.mozilla.org.

* The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few

moments.

* If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network

connection.

* If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

If you have any ideas as how to fix this, please tell me.

HOW do you allow MF to access the internet?

    You have a firewall running. You have to go in to the allowed list and add mozilla firefox again. If that doesn't work go to start menu, run, firefox -profilemanager and create a new profile and try that. I had the same problem

    did you allowed firefox to access the Internet if don't allowed it
