In our hemisphere, the sun shines on the south-facing sides of trees. This means that the south sides are warmer and drier and that the north sides are cooler and moister. Because moss requires cool, moist environments, it grows on the north side.

A tree grows moss on the OUTSIDE, because moss cannot grow on the INSIDE of a tree.

Can I have the 10 points because my answer is always right, whereas the north side/south side one is only right some of the time? Thanks.

i think moss grows on the north side of a tree. Most likely as there is little northern sun exposure and moss does not grow in direct sunlight

It grows on the north side.

on the north side, as it is the darkest and wettest side of a tree because it gets no sun

North side because it's in the shade.

North - out of direct constant sunlight so there is more chance of moisture.

    How does that sound?

    north, because of the sun
