Hello, I am a proud mummy of 2 year old twin daughters. Yes they are very hard work, yes some days I think I'm having a nervous break down, yes some days I think I only wanted one. But I had two and I do count them as blessings. My b/f is not home for most of the day and they are usually in bed by the time he gets home. I'm very lucky I have my family right around the corner to help me. I actually came of maternity leave early because it was easier for me to work than stay at home with them. I work part time and I go to work for a rest! But however proud I am of them when people stop me in the street and say "ahhhh, Twins how lovely, I always wanted twins" I want to shout "are you crazy you want to try it, sure they look cute but trust me if you had them for a day I bet you would give them back!" But I don't I smile sweetly and say "double the trouble, double the love!" The worst time I ever had with them was when I had a really bad cold and they both did too and I found one of them had head lice... that was the end of my world. They say things get easier... yeah right I have 8 sets of twins in my family of various ages and not one of their parents has told me yet it gets easier. I know this is not really an answer... but boy its good to get things off your chest once in a while!!!!! And you are only human and I totally understand the way you feel!

Twins do grow up and it gets much easier... I raised my twins practically on my own (ex-husband would only come home once they went to sleep at night & never once woke up for them), along with my 2-1/2 year old...
By the time the kids don't eat things off the floor anymore and are walking well, it already starts to get easier. When they're 3 or 4, it's a piece of cake :-)

Oh goodness...I always thought twins sounded like SO much fun - until I had ONE baby. Now I can't imagine two at once! (Which means my next will be twins, right?) What a great dad for doing so much of the childcare, though. I know it's exhausting now, but you'll be so glad later on that you were such an involved father. It all passes SO quickly, I promise. Pretty soon you'll have two-year-old twins (yikes!), then ten-year-old twins... It stinks that they grow up so quickly, but it does mean that things will get easier soon. Hang in there!
