Can my 2 year old twins help?
I have 2 year old twins, and a recently broken arm. What can my kids do to help me out? I'm only 18.

My son is only 18 months old and he LOVES to help me. I set him on the dryer and hand him clothes and he puts them in the washer. After they have washed I hand him the wet clothes and puts them in the dryer. He loves to clean out the lent trapper also. He also wipes off the table with a wet wipe after dinner and he is starting to learn how to pick up his toys (without dumping them after again). I think it would be very benifical for you two year olds to help you out. Don't expect everything to be perfect as if you did it though. And do reward them for their effort whether it be a small new toy, a trip for ice cream, etc. I hope this helps.

While 2 year olds can't be a huge help, they can pick up their own toys and put dirty clothes in a basket. It helps if you have a "clean up" song. Done consistently, they will know to start cleaning up whenever they hear that song. In addition, accept the fact that life doesn't always have to be perfect and clean. Allow yourself to not get stressed about what needs to be done. It will still be there when you have help or when your arm heals. Good Luck!

Not much except that you can ask them please not to make trouble. They can also pick up their toys or clothes, but kids at that age don't focus long enough for regular tasks. Isn't there anyone else who can help you? Is there a Visiting Nurses Association in your city? They often come to help people who are sick or injured. I think there's a fee, but call them to ask about it. They may be in the phone book under Visiting Nurses or VNA.

Start by letting them know that it is their obligation to help out at home, no matter how old they are.
Here are some thing that they can do:
- pick the toys up after they play
- clean up their bedroom
- put their dirty clothes in the laundry basket

1. put them on a giant gerbil wheel and generate electricity.
2.Use one of them a splint to stablize your broken arm
3. teach them to wipe your butt and flush for you when you go to the bathroom
4. You could sell them to help pay medical expenses
5. you could rent out their services to a sweat shop
6. Save a trip to the grocery store and make three days worth of food out of them
7 you could have them spayed or neutered so they can have children later on and ask you to help support their children
8 Tell them to get jobs licking stamps and mailing envelopes
9 have them bathe you with their drool
10 They could run away so you dont have to care for them

You cannot expect two year olds, especially twins, to help you at all. They are not equipped. Period. Please get some outside help from friends, relatives or a teenager that lives in your neighborhood. I feel for you.

children AT THIS AGE ARE ABLE TO HELP CLEAN GIVE THEM A BABY WIPE AND LET THEM GO TO TOWN. they ALSO CAN HELP WITH CARRYING LITE NON-DANGEROUS ITEMS. also THAT REMEMBER THAT CHILDREN CAN UNDERSTAND YOU HAVE A BO-BO. you MAY HAVE A HARD TIME GETTING THINGS DONE THE NEXT FEW WEEKS. let THIS BE A CHANCE FOR THEM TO LEARN THAT MOMMY SOMETIMES IS HURT AND NEEDS THEM TO BE A LITTLE MORE PATIENT. THEY MAY OR MAY NOT BE ABLE TO HELP A BUNCH BUT HEY I THINK YOU HAVE A GREAT REASON TO SLOW DOWN LET THINGS GO AND SPEND TIME WITH THE TWINS.

They are two small to help you out. You really should have a family member or friend help you out some, instead of having your babies do everything for you.Be Blessed!
