I need to clean my keyboard. Can the keys pop off, and if so, what do I use to take them off?
I'm not looking for stupid answers cause I'm not asking to be stupid. My keyboard is really dirty and my stupid swiffer duster is crap. It didn't work. Besides compressed air, what can I use to clean underneath the keys?
Obviously unscrewing the bottom from the top won't allow me to get under the keys. Please answer only if you know what you are talking about. Thanks.

There are a few options
one a vacume cleaner for the loose stuff and then a spray that spray air with pressure to remove all the other dirt
and finally a damp cloth.
two to pop the keys one by one using a very gentle hand
becuse they tend to break to do that you would use a small flat screwdriver and insert it under the main spacebar key
and release it from there one key at a time.
Do not Do not remove all the keys at once you will forget where they were.
good luck

Yep, you can pop the keys off with any ball point pen. I suggest a cleaning solvent
