Absolutely, they should stay. Our economy is extremely dependent on their labor. And as far as paying taxes go... every illegal immigrant pays taxes one way or another. Most pay federal and state taxes through their paycheck because they rent social security numbers from people not working. So not only do they pay taxes and social security, but they will never receive it. Also they pay sales tax on everything they buy. Also, if the US wasn't so discriminatory about our visa policy then it wouldn't be as big a problem. Do you honestly think an agriculture worker from Honduras can get a visa? Hardly.... we should be looking at that as well because we need the labor on farms, in the meat industry, garment industry, etc. Anyone who thinks we don't is blatantly basing their opinion on nothing. Perhaps we should start another huge worker program like we had up until 1960.....

They should stay because 1) Some immigrants were born in another country and come to U.S and live there until there an adult and the government takes them then they have to go back and the immigrant doesn’t want to because the immigrant lived a better life in the U.S and might not know anyone from were they use to live .2) Not all immigrants are bad and want to do evil.3)4)Some immigrants just want a better life for them and there children.4)They have jobs that some citizens in the U.S don’t want.

    Immigrants SHOULD Stay-

The ILLEGAL Immigrants Should Be Deported Upon Discovery

    ***The COST??

If Congress were to pass a law that said, quite simply, that the CEO(ANY EMPLOYER) of any business that was caught employing ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS went to jail for a year - NO EXCEPTIONS - then within a month there would be ten million (more or less) people lined up at the Mexican border trying to get out of the United States And Back To Whatever Country They Came From. .

They CANNOT Stay If They Cannot Work

    NO Deportation Costs

And They Will NOT Come Back

No..the ILLEGAL immigrants need to head on back to the border! I am tired of America trying to scratch the back of every other country but itself!

How many people have lost their job because a group of mexicans came in and told the employer they will do it for less! My dad works for a Anheuser Busch and has seen this happen! They came in on a 6 month visa...work for less than his co-workers can afford to work for so they get fired and 6 months later a new group comes in. I love how everyone says America is so horrible but yet we are having such a hard time trying to keep illegal immigrants out!

Now, if someone comes here after filing the proper paperwork...show that they truely want to be a law abiding hard working American then I'm fine with that. However...English is the main language here thus they must be able to speak it clearly!!! A while back I remember a house burnt down and there were almost 20 immigrants living in it! Not one was able to speak english and when the firefighters showed up to try and help get the people out they began punching our fire fighters! Later the people were outraged that the fire fighters began defending themselves and hit back! I'm sorry but what else were they pose to do??? The Mexicans claimed they didn't know who the firefighters were and since they couldn't speak spanish it was their own fault! If you come to live and work in America it should be required that you can speak ENGLISH!

The words "illegal" and "immigrant" are often confused and do not even belong in the same sentence. My great grandparents were immigrants. They came here on a boat from Italy, registered, learned something about our culture and language, and became productive citizens.

What gives anyone the right to cross our borders, take advantage of what we have to offer, and then never pay taxes? It's not racism that has forced a change in our laws, it's terrorism. Keep that in mind.

The problem isn't whether they should stay or go, it is far more complicated. For someone who came to the US a week ago the question is simple deport them if they are here illegally, however so many illegal immigrants have been here for so long and been such an integral part of our culture, there is no way we can just say get out. Not to mention the cost of figuring out every illegal and giving them the boot will be astronmical.

I agree with Matt14. It sets a bad, bad precedent to let an illegal stay in this country that kept another needy immigrant from another country not get in.

Come here legally or not at all. Illegals should not be hired here.

The good US of A was discovered by an immigrant and was established by European immigrants. The term "illegal" is only given to the current immigrants by the former "illegal" immigrants!!!!

Only a bleeding heart liberal would allow them to stay. Also the family member or members want them to stay. The majority of the U.S. want them out of here. They say they take the jobs Americans won't take, but this statement is untrue. Many poverty level americans would be happy to the maids, busboys and janitors of our society. I personally know many african americans in Compton who would be happy to take on these jobs. The excuse that only illegals take these jobs is a copout excuse used by the illegals in order to further their cause for amnesty.

i think they should, my parents were illegal immigrants and finally became citizens of this country earlier this year.

i thought this country was built by immigrants and yes someone mentioned that illegal and immigrants should not be used in the same sentence
