Under 18? Still @ home with parents? How do you feel about them in "your room"?

Update:

I'm a mom with a new "pre-teen" and we had a talk about this. (one of those laying the ground rules talks) for future reference. Yes she is entitled to some privacy but it is my house. I think we have an understanding now.

I think it's an invasion of your privacy. However, I believe that when it's your parents house, they should have every right (when necessary), to be in any part of their house they feel. Their house, their rules. Don't like it. Get out! Not trying to be rude, just being factual.

  • im 18 now and no longer live at home, i dorm. But my mom use to do that all the time I HATED IT SOOOO MUCH!!!

I mean if parents have a problem they should just confront you about it. What example do they set by invading your space? See thats what i dont understand, parents expect respect and what not--- yet they fail to lead by example.

Yes it is their house, but youre their CHILD! you are a HUMAN not property.

If you still ive in THEIR HOUSE. Then get over it. After all it is THEIR HOUSE. When you turn 18 move out. I had the same problem and moved out. But as long as you are there.... Tough titty said the kitty but the milks still good. Besides it's harder when you are on your own. Stop complaining you live rent free.

I'd feel pretty mad because it is wrong for parents to disturb a teen's privacy and personal space.

    LET ME JUST SAY THIS:

ONCE YOU HAVE MOVED OUT AND BECOME AN ADULT I GUARANTEE YOU WILL WISH FOR THE DAY WHEN YOU WERE "UNDER 18? STILL @ HOME WITH PARENTS". PLEASE DON'T BE A FOOL. STAY YO *** IN SCHOOL AND LIVE WITH YOUR PARENTS FOR AS LONG AS THEY WILL HELP YOU BETTER YOURSELF.

I think that if you are paying them rent, then you deserve your privacy. If not.....sorry, its their house.
