  • Dark-eyed Oregon Junco broken beak/bill?

I found a Dark-eyed Oregon Junco (see picture below) and the bird was disoriented, is injured and was slightly bleeding. Also, the bird has the bottom part of the beak quite a lot pushed down, looks broken to me, just hanging there. Obviously cannot eat, but is able to jump around and fly at low level. I am able to catch the bird without much trouble, most of the time has no reaction of flying when it sees my hands.

Last time I called some guys from wildlife, they came and put a seagull then (broken wing), to sleep. I love animals, and I took care of lots of them (some injured) in my life and I don't want nobody to put this bird to sleep. I can take care of it, feed the bird daily if needs too (which I didn't yet, as I am looking for a vet), I guess I will have to apply for a permission somewhere with the city to keep a wild bird, all I am asking is how can I fix or get somebody to "glue" the beak or to cut the beak then I guess the bird will need to be feed and I can do that.

    So what's to do?

  • go down from a building?

Say you have to go down from a building using the window or the balcony. Lets say the building is tall... um 3-5 stories high. I think some people may find it useful for emergency kits or hobbies.

Are there any devices/ropes that can help you?

    Thanks

  • Rewarding or reward budget?

    Hi,

For a training project that I have to present, I am supposed to choose a name. The name ideally will be as short as possible and I would like to choose "Reward Budget". Grammatically speaking "Rewarding Budget" sounds better, however it's a bit too long.

Now, do you think "Reward Budget" makes as much sense as "Rewarding Budget" when you hear it? This is supposed to be a name of the product, in my training project.

Do you have any other ideas instead of "Reward" that could be used? Please remember it has to be as short as possible.

Thanks in advance for helping me.

PS looking forward to the best answer on this, the budget has to have an adjective to describe it

I got a few tickets but no points... are they going to keep the tickets on my record?

Also, any idea about how much would be an insurance for a 22 years old guy for an older car?

    Thank you

  • Pregnant cat crayin at the door?

I woke up this morning around 5-6 and hearing a cat crying. I couldn't locate her until around 8 when she came to my apartment door. She is soo pregnant and from my experience with cats she has very little to go. I did let her in my house and give her some water (she didn't want) but I had to get her out cause I was wondering if the owner will look for her.

Now she stays at my door, crying and if I let her in she doesn't cry anymore.

    What should I do?

  • Recycle Paper in Ontario?

I was wondering how someone living at a townhouse can recycle paper but not only. Since they don't have blue bins, what can they do about it, in Ontario, let's say Toronto.

  • How to keep water cold for goldfish?

I was reading on wikipedia that the optimal temp for goldfish is bt 21-24 C. I got a thermometer which is outside on the tank glass (marina one) and it shows 25 C and keep in mind that it is winter. What I am going to do in summer? The window is always open.

When I change the water I keep it 24 hr at the room temperature so it is not cold anymore and here comes my question:

How to keep the water cold for my goldfish? (also during summer)

Also, where can I buy live plants for goldfish (I know they eat them but still) in Canada? Couldn't find in regular pet shops.

PS I got 2.68 G tank with 2 goldfish (one of them is common goldfish I believe)

PSS PLEASE include a website as source so I can check it out

    Thank you.
