BitTorrent?
Will Bittorrent screw up my computer? I want music but i want to keep my cpu for a long time. Should I download or no? If it helps any, I have an iMac G5 all-in-one, not the tower.

Like dude said no it wont screw anything up as long as you get it from bittorrent.com I have a mac too and Ive never had any problem anyway. Try www.demonoid.com for downloads, its the best I've been able to find. If you have anymore questions about how to use the bittorrent protocol you can contact me through my demonoid account, my id is zat1981. By the way limewire can screw up your computer, also whoever runs Lime allows people to distribute child porn, I personally don't want to support anything associated with exploiting children.

BitTorrent won't mess up your computer, and against what the other guy said, it isn't illegal. It is however, illegal to download copyrighted materials with it. But, if you're looking for downloading music the best place to get it from would be Limewire, unless you've found a torrent hosting site with all the music you want.

Well, BitTorrent is illegal so I would say no. But if you must know, some BitTorrent programs/websites CAN screw up your computer. But since you have an iMac, you're probably safe.
