So, whats the differance between apathy and ignorance?

apathy- I don't care what inhumane,unjust,not right,brutal attack,unfortunate crises,illness, loved one or propety loss,financial distress,et cetera that you are enduring or suffering even if I am witnessing it because- a. it is not me,its someone else,b. I already feel overwhelmed,frustrated and helpless, c. I believe trying to do anything to improve or change conditons in any positive manner is futile and now I feel hopeless because your distress validates my negativity, D. I fear or hate you so I think it is good that you are suffering even if you dont deserve it,and if I did have a way to save you, I never would, E. better you than me,if people stop hating muslims they are gonna start hating us mexicans more or to the same degree they did before my group became replaced as the one everyone loves to hate,f.I don't care because based on your actions,social status,sexual orientation,financial status,religion,race,nationality what ever I fell that I am superior and I devalue you as a human so I have no empathy for you and dont believe your rights or feelings count

ignorance-is I am so removed from the reality that others must face on a daily basis and I cannot relate because, I will not change my shoes or accept that any perspective besides my own exists and if I do then I don't accept it as valid or I do not want to see the truth and I cling to denial and hide behind dogma,I think people are stupid and if they have a problem then they should fix it and stop waiting for everyone else to give them a hand out but I do not understand that not everyone has the same opportunities or upbringing or financial abitlity to provide ,or support systems like family and friends that I do ,I do not know what it is like to be hungry,to work long hard hours and still be poor or not make enough to make ends meet, i dont understand what it is like to be treated and disregared like a filthy animal not because of my behavior which maybe lawabiding and selfless but because of my skin color or accent, I dont know what it is like to see someone else of a different race commit far worse offenses while I and others in my group are suffering far worse penalties for lesser offenses,I have no clue that white people make up the majority of those on welfare and white men commit the most violent crimes because that is not the image or story that my television,magazines or newspapers show me,I am waiting for the government to fix all the problems that affect me and middle to working class america and respect and honor all our civil liberties and do things in our best interests and I believe everything our politicians and leaders say,I am waiting for someone else to fix what is wrong in the world in my community in my country while I sit back like a helpless victim do nothing to change my environment watch and criticize, I do not read or research or find out anything for myself I rely on others to do that and tell me what to think,I belief in my values and religion and will not consider any contrary,opposing or different facts,information or beliefs are real or valid I also will get very irate if you dare question my beliefs with an objective open mind ,while I condemn you for being an immoral idiot for having your own beliefs, I assume every person affiliated with a group like democrats or gay people, whatever all lack individual diversity and are one large group that share the same values ,beliefs,ideas,behaviors,and belong to the same socioeconomic class,and have the same education level and all think alike ,I do not see what I dont want to ,I do not accept or see what I do not understand and I dont have to because I am right you are wrong, I am good and you are bad

Just to make it perfectly clear...Humans do have free will. When the time comes that belief must be questioned, then I suppose it will. I think there are more people than you know, that think there is something about to happen, but what? Christians believe the end of civilization as we know it is almost here....and that we are living the book of revelation now. What happens if they are right, and you are not? We do not travel the stars, but the world is destroyed by floods, sunamis, earthquakes, our environment is going downhill, pollution is rampant. You tell me...what is the difference between apathy and ignorance?

Apathy is knowing about a problem but not caring enough to do something about it one way or another. Ignorance is not knowing about it at all, therefore not knowing that there is something you could be doing about it.

Apathy and ignorance.

Apathy- no emotions. People can be perfectly aware of something, but if they are apathetic, they have no emotions toward the situation

Ignorance- Person is perfectly capable of having the emotions, but are not aware at all and therefore don't notice anything that goes on around them

Apathy means you are aware, but just don;t give a damn. Ignorance, means you don't have the facts.

I think the difference is ignorance you don't know better and apathy you just don't give a shi*
