i am writing a story.for that i need to know some history of bangalore.my friend said there is a book about the history of chandapur(a place in bangalore).it is in kannada. can anyone please tell me what is the name of that book and where can i get it.or please give me some information about bangalore in 1850's.like who ruled here etc

Bangalore is the capital city of Karnataka State in southeast India. I:t has become well-known recently as the "silicone valley" of India because of the large number of Technical institutes and IT firms located within the city.  Although it has a long history as you can learn at this site:

in the 1850's it would have been ruled as part of British India.  If before 1858 and the great rebellion, then by the British East India Company and afterwards as part of the Government of India.
