it is not crap...it is so children do not graduate with out being able to read...children with learning disablity are taking classes for it and they need specail help...kinder level what is that..maybe you should have gone throw that program...i think it is great i am a teacher (high school) now i get children that can read and read better then they did before!!maybe you should learn something about it before you ask all this crazy questions!

Perhaps you should volunteer to help in your local school with reading. The local school board sets the pace for the local schools - show up at a meeting and speak your mind. You can actually remove the board members and replace them if enough people agree with you, and thus change the direction of the local schools.

you are ex actually harming them not helping them. they later will learn nothing because of the school. no child left behind thing is that no children is suppose to be mean or being lonely and no one is talking to them. but if you Texas is doing that than that is illegal. when they grow up they cant do anything thamseleves. so you better tell the schools before they get shut down.

The school sytsem can't help it if the parents don't help at home or if the children simply don't want to learn. However, i do agree with you on passing students up to the next grade level when they're not ready. they should just hold them back.

It's just a way to push the children through school so the teachers don't have to work too hard.

I suggest going to the school board (even though it probably won't help) or to the local media....maybe they can answer it better.

This horse poop started years ago in California schools. Advancing kids who couldn't pass tests so as not to hurt their "self-esteem". (Funny, I thought that was something you got once you had accomplished something worthy of esteem.) I went head-to-head with my daughter's teacher when she tried to tell me that there was "no wrong spelling, just different spelling". I had my daughter enrolled in a private school before the week was out. I feel for anyone with kids stuck in public schools.
