Where was the Jew in the creation week when God sanctified the Sabbath and made it holy?

Many say the Sabbath is a Jewish day, given to Jews so it is their day. Where were the Jews when God made the day holy? There is only one command that starts with Remember. Could that be because it is the one that would be forgotten or made of no account? Bible says the Sabbath was made for man so does that mean when it says that the woman was made for man that it also means it is only for the Jews?

He didn't make it Holy for one group of people. Read Genesis chapter 1. He created the universe in six days (well, we don't know what a "day" was back then, so it might have been much longer...who knows?), and on the seventh, he rested and made it Holy--for everyone! Not just the Jewish people--also for the Gentiles. Now, the Jewish population are God's chosen people, but that does not mean that the Sabbath was created ONLY for them to recognize.

I'm not sure I'm understanding your question. When G-d created the world and rested on the Seventh day there was no concept of Jews yet. Jewish people came into existence 2448 years later when redeemed from Egypt and given the Torah ("Old Testament") at Sinai. That is when commandment to observe Sabbath was given to the Jews which includes not doing all sorts of mundane work on this day. That does not mean that other nations can't observe their own "Sabbath" if they desire which seems to be what the Church and most Christians do on Sunday.

I'm not sure where in Bible you see Sabbath "made for man" unless you are referring to the "New Testament" which I am not well versed in.

As far as only one commandment beginning with word "Remember", I can think of two mentioned in the "Old Testament".

I don't know if I answered your question, but hopefully I clarified some things.

Sabbath existed since creation, well the 7th day anyway, and it was holy then, but at Mt. Sinai when G-d gave the Bible/Torah to 600,000+ jewish pple, one of the commmandments for jews was to remember and keep sabbath. its being holy is not different for different people, thats about the day itself. as far as what we do about it, the Jews have certain laws about what we can or cant do on sabbath, keeping it holy. that applies only to Jews.

The sabbath us just the word used to for the holy day. The Jews belive this day is saturday. Catholics at one time believed it was friday but they changed it when they ate another religion to satisfy the people.

I guess what i'm saying is that the day the Sabbath is on is pointless. just worship as you will

The sabbath replaced into for Israel in biblical situations in person-friendly words. word that Abraham, Isaac, nor Jacob had to. The regulation replaced into given to Moses for the Israelites in person-friendly words on the on the spot. Later, seeing that Christians were not less than Moses' regulation because With Christ the regulation replaced into fulfilled, there replaced into no favor to follow it. it extremely is why the Bible says at Romans 10:4: “Christ is the top of the regulation, so as that each and each and every person workout faith would have righteousness." The sabbath replaced into element of the regulation. With Christ, the regulation ended. because the sabbath replaced into element of the regulation, then the sabbath also got here to a end. Being "righteous" and having sturdy status and faith in the front of God is what is going to provide us eternal existence, and not in any respect protecting a sabbath.

The Jew was writing the events down, to record them for posterity.
