Do you think all the lying by we've been subjected to recently will lead to dangerous mistrust?

Have gone from being totally taken in on some issues to almost not believing anything the President, corporate execs and oil purveyors say. I fear we have become so skeptical we may miss something really serious.

Ofcourse it will lead to mistrust. It has already actually.

As far as missing something really serious, the answer again is YES. The media is controlled by the government, there is no such thing as free press as you can see from the CIA Leak that has been all over the news.

They tell us only what they want us to hear.

As with any lies, fool me once shame on you , fool me twice shame on me.

unfortunately most of the American public is working so hard to make it from paycheck to paycheck or fighting to keep a roof over their families head that they have no time to truly understand what is going on in our country's politics. enough people believed Bush to vote him in....or did they? One would think that everyone knows that most politicians speak out of both sides of their mouth. I don't want to think that Bush will divide our country even more by creating more mistrust among us citizens. What I hope is that we are smart enough to realize we need to unite in order to overcome all that Bush has done. For the first time in modern history Clinton had us in the black. We were a country on an economic high with money in the bank and the respect of the world ( except for star and the republicans). We are now so in debt and have lost all the respect of the free world. now more than ever we need to pull together, understand our government, and participate in its running first hand. it is up to each of us as an individual to choose to not let bush cause us to mistrust all of our future presidents and leaders. The real question is how many people are even concerned with it?

Skepticism is a by product of being continually raped up the bummy by ALL of our leaders...lib and con, repub and demo. Most people however are getting news from only ONE source which is mostly one of the BIG outlets that as anyone with a brain knows IS biased. There are ALOT more direct connections to what is happening. LOOK around...search for the truth and you WILL find it. Good place to start...a man on the radio named Jay Severin. You may not like HIS view, but he will tell you ALL sides of things.

Nobody trusts politicians, corporate execs or oil purveyors anyway. And as far as I hear from my older relatives, nobody ever did.

I have never trusted Bush, at least not since he whomped McCain in the primary by criticizing McCain's history as a POW and McCain's decision to adopt a non-white child.

will lead to dangerous mistrust? It already has led to mistrust. I don't know in which country you're living, but I don't trust any politician anymore, I don't trust big company's anymore
