Actually, my question was in reverse..........?
I meant to ask why whole bean coffee is so much more expensive than ground coffee. I went to the store tonight and whole bean is almost $10 while ground is $7.
You'd think that ground coffee would be more expensive since there's more steps involved in grinding it.

Whole bean coffee has more air because the beans are round. Compare the coffee per pound, not the price for a can or bag.

yes, but you are buying inferior coffee with ground, if you buy the beans its less likely to be the dust off the floor of the factory (wink)

u get more intense flavor with the whole beans than the ground plus the flavor lasts longer becaue u would have to gring them to release flavor and to use
