My husband really dislikes my tattoos... I want more... should I just get over it?

I already have two... one on my back and one on my left arm. He thinks I'll regret getting them when I'm 80... I think I'll be too old to care by then!!!!!

I have one on my toe and i want another one. My husband hates it too. I decided that because he didn't make a big fuss about the 1st. one I'm not going to get another...kinda a compromise. I know that its my body and ultimately my choice but when you love someone you respect their wishes as well as your own. I know that he listens to me about things i dont like so I do the same for him. Thats what being married is all about you have to give and take.

The question is this. Why should what you do to your body bother him? Is he in charge of your hairstyle? If you work out? If you gain or lose weight?

I was in a relationship with a guy, and I told him I was getting a piercing, and he objected to it. I got it anyway, and long story short, he ended up hitting me and throwing me against a wall.

Maybe your husband isn't like that, you might think he's "sweet" but there's obviously an issue you need to work out with him if you're questioning what YOU should do based on how you THINK HE MIGHT ACT...which is wrong. (IE, should I do this even though it might make him upset...)

Now I'm not saying its right or wrong, but given time, what other things might he be upset about that you choose to do? I'd say 1-work on the control issue first. Then 2-get a tattoo second.

Your husband should only look at the person you are inside..not what you have on your body..I have 13 tattoos and I'm always getting more tattoo work done, my man has no probs with my tattoos, he looks at me for who I am inside. You just need to have a serious talk with him, and let him know how you feel. TATTOOS ARE VERY ADDICTING!! LOL:)

Two seems to be enough. Its just a big phase people are into right now. Like I say, you get a small rose tattooed on your boob, and when you're 80, it turns into a long stem rose

It is your body not his. All should matter is that he loves whom you are.
