Why are the cubs so bad historically? Can one professional team be this pathetic. The cubs are pitiful.?

The Cubs history is not as bad as some other teams. The Philadelphia Phillies, for instance have won 1 title, and made 5 in the same time period. The Cubs have won 2 and made 10. The Devil Rays have a horrendous record. Their best season to date was a 70-91 season in 2004. The Texas Rangers have played in the majors for 45 years, and have never made the World Series. The Houston Astros made it for the first time in 43 years last year. The Expos/Nationals have made the playoffs once since joining the league in 1969. The list goes on and on, if MLB were too contract the worst 4 or 6 teams based on history, there is no way the Cubs would be on the list.

The Cubs have been run for $ for so many years not victories because Cub fans love to come to Wrigley Field to watch. If the Cubs were run to win the could have.

What about dropping the worst team in baseball back to the minors AAA each year and not allowing their players to get paid more than a minor league contract. 1 from each league making them sit out 1 year and making the majors that much better with 2 less teams. Then players might fight to keep their big league contracts instead of blowing off the season when they were out of contention.

Now, now don't be so hard on them Cubbies. and no silly they cant get demoted to AAA division. Honestly they have what it takes but there not playing like a team, they play as individual and that the fault of poor coaching... look how long it took the RED SOX to win a world series???? and i don't see anyone saying they should be playing for a woman's softball team.....

Dude they stink there pitchers get hurt every year. They are like sissy girls wanting a paycheck for being on the dl over half the year. I think they could take third place in our local women's softball league. Of course that is in the over 50 division.

I personaly love the cubs. they are my favo. team. they try there hardest to win. And i believe if they try really hard they could win the championships this year.
