Methadone for bi-polar?
I have a theory of using a low amount of opiates to give that calming effect to the brain. Giving that most medications still have severe withdrawl to them what would be diffrent.
Anyone who has researched or to some extent of knowledge is welcome. This is a taboo thing for the doctors but if there is any real docs get a hold of me for a serious conversation. Would also like some pharmacutical info on taking a 40mg methadone disk. Can I take it 10mg at a time? And what is the best way to dissolve it?

You can take 10mg's at a time with no problem. I take 20mg"s 3 times a day. The side effects are not fun. One minute your fine and the next your sweating. I sweat a lot from it when I"m doing physical things. Also I feel like I am going thru withdrawals sometimes. This drug is worse than heroin when coming off. I have been on 4 years now and can't get off. My life is controlled by it. Try not to take it if at all possible. You can just put it in your mouth and take a drink of water and it will dissolve. Good Luck

i don't think methoadone will affect your bi-polar problem. methadone can be taken 40mls a time if that is your normal dose and it is drinkable at its normal form so no need to dilute it. i am familiar with the brown methadone but they normally use a red version so addicts can't inject. but even small amounts become addictive over time as it is with heroin.
