Why do law students think they are so special?
I go to a top 15 law school, and all of the students are self centered spoiled brats. Any idea why?

I work for lawyers and every summer a law student will clerk at our office. Law students like to treat the paralegals and legal assistants like we are trash. They get drunk on the idea that we HAVE to help them and think they weild some power over us. But, the problem is not exclusive to law students. They get worse after they pass the bar. Lawyers are some of the most hateful people to work for. If you think your peers are bad now, wait till they start working at a big firm....they turn into even bigger *******!

Alot of people put on fronts. Maybe they were raised that way or they are trying to be like someone one else who they admire. Don't let it get to you. But remember everyone has times when they act self centered and when it shows in someones Else's eyes. And its what you consider to be a self centered spoiled brat maybe not the next persons opinion.

Many law students have fairly wealthy parents who spoiled them. I think that has a lot to do with it. Now they're learning to get a degree that will allow them to make the big bucks and that gives them an even bigger head.
Add in that they usually got good grades in school and you wonder if they can fit their heads through the door.
Even scholarship students had to have the good grades, which could make them conceited-- and it's almost a prerequisite that a law student have a lot of "self confidence".
Still, not all are big-headed, conceited, jerks-- look for ones who want to be public defenders, the pure-hearted ones who only want to get their degree to help others. I promise you-- they do exist.

Because they don't know any better. (And, sadly, they aren't likely to learn the truth.)
