Something's wrong with my PS2?
My PS2 was working fine a month ago, then it stayed turned off for a while cos I've been catching up w/schoolwork, etc. I tried using it today and the picture that shows up on the screen looks like a seizure, for lack of a better description- it flashes, the color is off, and the text is fragmented and unintelligible. It's nothing to do with the game disc, so I'm thinking it's something to do with the hardware. Have any of you run into this problem before? Also, where does one take a game console to get it serviced?

You should use a disc cleaner since it has been off for a long time there might be alot of dust on the laser. If that does not work you could visit this website and send them your PS2 and they will fix it for you(it will cost money)

It could either be the processor or the graphix card got messed up from being off. (Dust getting on it and whatnot). Also, you can send it into Sony, maybe..I don't own a PS2 at all, i'm not a fan of Sony, and they should fix it. If they don't...You could try any local game stores.

be sure your multi-AV cable is connected properly on both ends, simply as that
