I'm going to do some pottery... what should I make?

A vase - tis the season for flowers- though the bird bath answer was a good one.

If your at the computer a lot. Make yourself a cute holder to put your pencils in or a little box to put all your little pieces of papers that you've collected of sites you want to check out sometime---what? I've got one! I just shove'em in there and go through it every once in a while when I want to cruise the net.

Lastly if you have someones birthday or such.....Mother's Day is around the corner.....make something for them.

Moms'll treasure it forever even if it turns out looking like an ashtray/turtle??????????Have fun whatever you choose

Are you making these items for yourself or for others, are they gifts or just somethings your wanting. My friend she majored in pottery and she made a whole set of dishes and she just loved them. Plates are great for gifts, who wouldnt want something you made by hand.

Mother's Day is coming up.... you should make something to give to your mom or something.... I made a vase once that said "Happy Mother's Day!" I also made a mug that said that.
