I heard yahoo is shutting down on 8-17-06 is that true?

TALIA WIGGINS: Raynita Lagard: hate this message too, but i don't want my account to get shut down and it has happened already. Yahoo is shutting down on 8-17-06. they want to get rid of free messenger. If you delete this and don't pass it on, your name will be deleted. A lot of people have already been deleted. Right click on the group name of your buddylist and click, Send Instant Message to All in that group (4/20/2006 6:00 PM)....

This is what i got in am instant message....wonder how we can find out for sure

    That message is a message circulated through messenger, which tags all these user Id's to spam your email address. DON'T PASS THESE ON unless you want spam overload in your email box!

    Yep. The Bush Administration has turned over control of Yahoo! to Halliburton, who in turn have sold it to the Chinese.

    NO!! Don't believe that, websites like this one do not shut down just 'cause they want to! If this website went away what would u do.... I didn't think so! Do not believe that!

    i had an email saying that but i don't believe it because it would've been announced on tv or radio since yahoo is such a huge corporation.

    If they do, it won't be on a voluntary basis. Something drastic would have to take place in order for that to happen.
