I have a lump .............?

If it was a boil, it would hurt. Probably a swollen lymph node. Usually the result of some sort of infection. Do you remember being sick a month ago? What about insect/animal bites, scratched on the leg, unprotected sex? If it's just one painless node, I wouldn't be that worried. Still, a month is a long time for it to stick around. If it's still there in a couple of weeks, I'd have a doctor look at it. If more appear (in groin, armpits, neck), or you notice this one getting bigger, go see a doctor sooner rather than later.

It's probably an inflamed lymph gland. If you're not very active - the lymph glands can get lumpy. So, if you're not terribly active -- get moving;).

It could also just be an ingrown hair. Or it could be a boil - but boils are usually painful at some point!

If you're worried - just get it checked and put your mind at rest.

It's probably just an ingrown hair that got infected. That happened to me once. I panicked and went to the Doctor. He said it would eventually go away and it was very common. He also said if it didn't he could put me on antibiotics. It went away on it's own but it took about three months.

DON'T WORRY!!! It's NOTHING, just an under the skin boil. Some people lance it, but that's not necessary. It's basically a ball of puss, it'll leave! Don't worry!
