WinXP Password Location?
Could you tell me where the passwords are saved in Windows XP? I need to get administrator access and lost the password. I know it's saved in three (or more) locations on the hard drive. Any help?

Here is a whole article of SAM Files. Don't think finding the location will help you much.

Everyone on here says to boot into safe mode and it will go to administrator.
Also can burn an iso of this program to allow you access and to delete admin password:

the password is hashed and in the registery, it is not readable. there are programs in dos and linux that you can use that come on a system bootable cd. once that os is running then you can modify the password, haltload back to your os and then enter the reset password.
here are some urls
