Check out the Chowhounds Los Angeles web site below. It's a message board similar to this one but is dedicated only to food questions about LA and the surrounding area. I'm almost certain that someone there has already asked and answered questions similar to yours. Good luck and have fun!

Why not go to dinner and then to something like a live music act or something. Or you can do both at the Key Club in West Hollywood!

Go to Hollywood and Highland, there is big restaurant in front of the mall and it is really good and cheap yet Classy
