Is it really any point in reporting anyone for abuse on here?

i have reported some people...ussually only because of very vulger anwers or question (like one guy i reported wanted butt pics of 10 year old kids)...it is not instant...with in a day or two the questions or answers were removed (or even the person)...i think why it takes a couple of days is because the yahoo staff goes over it to see if it should be removed

for me personally it has to be really severe in order to report it...but that is just me...if you feel something is wrong then report it

I've been reported numerous times. Each time I got an email saying that my question/answer had been removed. I suppose if you get reported enough they'll suspend your account, but then you could just make a new account and start over. So, when you see words that make you angry, maybe you should consider using the time it would take to report someone for something more productive, like learning piano.

If yahoo gets tons and tons of reports on someone, they will pull the question. If the same person is reported constantly, they will suspend the account. Of course, since it's easy to start a new one, some jerks just do that, and come right back.

I have no idea. Reporting someone is better than not reporting someone, for all you know the person you're reporting has already had several complaints. Perhaps yours will be the one that gives Yahoo cause to take action.

I really have no idea. I report people and nothing really happens. Some people on here are just cruel and don't need to be answering questions. I really wanna know but doubt anyone at Yahoo! will respond.

I don't know but it seems useless because they just come back under another name. I know if you report a question it gets pulled rigt away. But that is all I know.

I don't know but I have reported several!the best policy is just ignore the abusers,don't reply that's what they want!if you don't reply they'll eventually stop!

that's a good question and I'm wondering what they do for the truly illegal by law stuff that happens here too...
