Sure. If people are given the freedom to whatever they want like they want to, it turns out they'll just sit around being bored. How true it is.

The statement is probably an overgeneralization, but there is some truth to it.

Yes, many people are creatures of habit and have a difficult time thinking creatively.

It simply means that when people are not treated like sheep and do not have their life-details handed to them on a plate they squander their time and energy because they do not have the sense or forethought to think of something worthwhile to do. It's a terribly depressing quote.

i think that is because they now have a choice that they can make. most of the time poeple just do what they are told to do but don't want to so when the opportunity comes for them to do what they want it is most likely to be something that is not sufficent.

It's human nature to do the whole lemming effect, follow another, copy cat, etc. Some people need another person to give them ideas on what to do with their spare time or do whatever with them.

just means when ppl are left with time on their hands they often times are unable to find anything worthy to do.. are at a loss as to wat they should do.

i find this happens to me too, whenever i have a free time unless i have planned for that free time, i cant think of anything to do, and i'll spend that time playing with my dog.

It means: "When people have free time and they could choose what to do, they don't know what would be good to do with their free time."
