how can i wake up?

i have gotten into a really bad sleeping pattern, and i cant seem to get out of it. I put my kids to bed a 8:00pm but then i cant fall asleep till almost 4:00 in the morning even if i lay there for hours. I will get up the next morning and start my day, i dont nap during the day, and somtimes i get really tired even though its too early to go to bed. but when 9:oo rolls around again I cant fall asleep! somebody help me....:(:(:(:(

    Make sure its quiet, empty all your worries from the day into the trash. ( you can take out the trash in the am)

    Next tell your body its sleepy. Start with your feet , legs, ect until your body decides that your right!! you are tired.

    Physical activity. Being busy doesn't always count either. Go for a brisk walk after dinner, at least two hours before you plan on laying down. It might not work the first night, but it should the second for sure. Chasing kids does the trick sometimes, but a good ole workout can't be beat.

    Throw some exercise into your day (might be hard with kids, or actually you may have the exercise you want running after kids)... or when you are laying their trying to relax your mind, count backwards from 100, but do not do it like you are racing, take a deep breath for each number... If that fails have you tried masturbation, not trying to be weird, but it helps!

    i know exactly what you mean! i have that problem also....just for one day try to stay awake without sleep (youll have to keep busy) dont go to bed until atleast say like 10pm ....i had been fighting with this problem for 2 weeks and have gone 2 days with only 2 hours sleep now im on a semi-decent schedule....not the best but better than before

    try drinking hot tea like something herbal without caffiene,

    or hot milk. also mabey you can start reading a novel read a chapter or two right before the time you want to go to sleep so your relaxed. mabey listen to some nice clasical music or get a miniature waterfall or something with water sound to take away some tension. I hope you find something that works

    stay up for a full 24 hours and the next day you will be able to go to bed whenever you want and get back in a good cycle

    Are you laying off the caffeine early enough? Maybe you could try some of that sleepytime tea, a good book, low music, dull t.v. show?

    I had a sturdy night sleep final night. I very sturdy one. i replaced right into a sprint upset in myself however, as I planned to rouse a sprint in the previous to circulate run. that did no longer ensue. yet, it rather is been a sturdy day. i'm a Capricorn, with a Leo moon.

    Try listening to a hypnotherapy tape when you want to go to sleep - they drone on so much you will be asleep in no time :) funny sure i've written this before?

    You can try different things :

    1. drink warm/hot milk before going to bed

    2. take a warm bath

    3. concentrate on your breathing and try to relax your mind and body while lying on your bed.
