We had a wonderful honeymoon in La Source in Grenada. I can't recommend it highly enough. It has an adults-only policy just to ensure people can have a nice quiet personal holiday, although some sporting activities including watersports, plus yoga, tai-chi etc are available if you want. The restaurant is excellent, it's right on the beach in a part of the island which doesn't get much rain, and they'll pick you up at the airport in a big white limousine. What's more, included in the (all-inclusive) price is a spa/massage treatment for each of you, every day of your stay. It's great to relax on the beach and have the singing waiters bringing out fruit cocktails to you. All makes for an unforgettable vacation. We hope to go back for our 10th anniversary - only 5 years to go!

I know Grenada was badly hit by a hurricane last year, but I think La Source wasn't too badly hit and I'd strongly recommend checking it out - I'm sure any damage has been repaired by now.

But remember - your choice of location depends on the time of year. You wouldn't want to go during the rainy season, so do check out the climate in each of your shortlisted places before you decide. Enjoy!

If you want a beach, go to Sydney Australia! It is excellent there. There are so beaches to chose from. The ticket will be expensive, but once there it is really cheap and beautiful. I think I will have my honeymoon there. Plus, the people are really friendly. There are lots of things to do, or you can just stay on the beach.

    Good luck.

My husband and I went to San Diego/Baja California for our honeymoon. We surfed in San Diego, rented bikes, ate plenty of great food, etc. Then we rented a car and drove south on route 1 into Baja, Mexico, which is a fabulous drive (I recommend stopping for Lobster in Porto Neuve). We stayed in Ensenada for a few days (at least one cruise ship docked while we were there) and explored some local attractions. Recently, I accompanied my husband to Kauai, one of the Hawaiian islands. I think Hawaii would have been a better honeymoon spot. Less traffic, less congestion, much more relaxing, and very suited to couples. In both cases, we had to take care of the details, but standard hotels usually satisfy most needs. The downside to Hawaii would be cost, of course, but worth every single penny.

Ixtapa, Mexico is a great honeymoon destination. You don't need to know Spanish. It is very clean, and inexpensive compared to many other places. Plus the beach and ocean are really clean. I went in December and the weather was perfect. It was warm enough to lay out, snorkel and play in the ocean.

Western Caribbean. Grand Caymen is gorgeous, also Cozumel or Costa Maya (both in Mexico). If you're looking for something in the US, Sanibel Island, FL has gorgeous beaches, and a very relaxed atmosphere.

Source(s): I've been to the above places and loved all of them.

Hawaii! The place is exotic, but it's still American. No need to get foreign currency. You can read all the signs, speak English, know the driving rules, still watch all your TV shows. Well, if you're going to be watching any TV!

If you can get anything on Cayman yet, it is wonderful. Tried Aruba, Cozumel, Cancun, Maz, Southern US, Huatulco, and Ixtapa. Cayman Rules.
