Because they are so damned lazy.

I can think of a few reasons. One is that these responses could contain extra information (such as from other people's personal experiences with an item) more personal responses (for instance, be careful when you undo the plug because water comes out) that might not be in a manual. Another is that they weren't getting the answers to their questions because they were wording their search incorrectly. And finally, sometimes I've noticed that the sheer volume of information (on Google, etc.) can be sort of intimidating and time-consuming to sort through and maybe sometimes a simple question is answered so rapidly in this area that it's easier... sort of like this one, quick answer.

just enjoy the points you get by answering with your easy search....that's what I do & I'm just a few days from being a level 6

because pushing buttons can get pretty tiring and if you look at a lot of americans you see who can't exercise much less push buttons
