I have arthritis in my spine and in other joints in my body. My doctor said there is nothing I can do to cure it, but I CAN do something to minimize its effects. First, DO NOT give in to it. In other words, even though you may experience some pain, DO walk, DO exercise, DO take something like Advil and/or Aleve to reduce the swelling in the joints which is the main pain and discomfort caused by arthritis. In my case it has worked.
ONCE, I needed a cortisone shot in my spine because the pain was so severe. It worked so well that I have not experenced pain there in almost a year.
Fight it al the way!! Good luck!!
