I don't think there is any guarantee that you will get it out fully, especially without removing the dye from the carpet itself. I have heard that ink stains should be treated with rubbing alcohol, but I would do a test spot on a piece of hidden carpet (like under the bed or something) to see how it will react with the carpet's natural color first. If it works ok, you can try it on the ink spot. Be sure to blot it thoroughly though, so it doesn't flood other parts of the carpet and only make the stain bigger.

An alternative would be to try OxyClean, but I don't know how effective it is on ink stains.

    Best of luck.

The best product out there for cleaning carpets and everthing else in your home is Quick'n Brite. I got mine at simplygoodstuff.com. The best part about it is that it is non-toxic and safe around children and pets. Just work the paste into the stain, let it sit, and then remove it with a terry cloth towel. Works like a charm.

There is a product sold at carpet stores called Carpetaid+.

removes even permanent magic marker ink. If you don't find it there phone # is 1-800-833-3528, they may be able to tell you who has it in your area.

Try soaking it with hairspray (the cheap stuff) and blotting it as you go. DO NOT rub it; the stain will go further into the carpet fibers.

Hairspray...spay it on the spot and blot.Don't rub, repeat. You can also try "Wipe Away"...test this on a hidden section first. Wipe Away removes things I thought were there for good!
