I’ve wondered about that for years.
It seems like it is a case of, “Like father like son.”
Of course it could just be a matter of being in elective office too long, look at the members of congress:
36 of them... Have been accused of spousal abuse !
7 – Have been arrested for fraud !
19 – Have been accused of writing bad checks !
117 – Have directly or indirectly bankrupted at least 2 businesses !
3 – Have done time for assault !
71 – Repeat, 71 cannot get a credit card due to bad credit !
14 – Have been arrested on drug-related charges !
8 – Have been arrested for shoplifting !
21 – Currently are defendants in lawsuits !
84 – Have been arrested for drunk driving in the last year !

Neddie ... you seem surprised... the conservatives lie in wait for any "bad" thing they can get on the Democrats, prersonal issue or not, and then beat the issue to death...
Bush could be re-instating the KKK and concentration camps as a government institution but if John Edwards' cousin was arrested the night before in a gambling sting, they wouldn't even talk about the Bush KKK thing or the camps... just how John Edwards is evil
They aren't interested in issues or politics, CLEARLY, they only want to talk about how bad Democrats are... issues and government be damned... it's all about "winning" at any cost to them and they don't care what they have to do or about morality or the American people as long as they are in power... it's the only thing that Bush has done consistantly in his presidnecy... do everything he can to discredit the dems... (CIA leak anyone?)

The Kennedy's have learned, in recent years, that they are subject to the same laws as everyone else. It was not that way years ago.

I would still rather go Quail hunting with Dick Cheney than ride in a car with Ted Kennedy(or his kid)! They have Money! OJ proved that you can commit murder and get off(Money) Illegal immigrants are immune(Money)It's time we put an end to this. But I'm afraid we won't.

Its not the Kennedy's, have you heard of the Bush's?? Mrs. Bush got in a drunk driving accident killing her highschool classmate before he graduated. At least the Kennedy's lead our nation into greatness and dont hide their mistakes.

No, it wasn't Patrick Kennedy's job to arrest himself, and what's up with Sean Hanity, I watched his show on FOX NEWS tonight, and during the HOUR, between Ann Coulter and her deranged rantings and Hanity obsessing about Kennedy, NOT one mention that the CIA director quit today, or got fired, who knows; we are in the middle of two wars and we have NO CIA DIRECTOR!

Same reason that Dick Cheney, Duke Cunningham, Richard Nixon, Jack Abramoff, Scooter Libby, et al - They are rich & powerful and think they're above the law.

Dunno. Why does Bush think the constitution doesn't apply to him?
Why do most people fail to obey the speed limit?
Why do teens drink underage?
The Kennedys aren't the only ones breaking the law. It just makes the news when they do.

Because stupid people made them American royalty. They really believe all of that Camelot crap. Only in America can a family that made its money running rum during prohibition become President, Senator, AG, Congressmen....Royalty.
