Isn't it strange that cannabis Hemp is illegal in this country but yet we legally import it for industrial use
Cannabis Hemp Differs from Cannibis sativa Even if the plants look the same If you plant hemp and sativa next to each other you get nothing but hep if the Feds had any brains they would start doing this instead of trying to eradicate the popt feilds like they are doing now and would have a plant wqith many differnt uses Ie paper cloth alernate fuel source etc

before 1920 marijuana was extensively grown by the USA and Mexico for the production of fibre.which made a durable material, cheap and it does not scorch, that was used for all the jeans, ropes, sails for the sailing ships and millions of jute bags that were used by millions of farmers, representing a multimillion dollars business.
after 1920 with the coming of synthetic materials, which were products of the petrolium business ,which were owned by the families or associates of most of the presidents,
this competitive comodity could not be allowed to continue to exist,
and the war on Mariujana was on.
and to this day the USA does not want to return the biggest competitor to their synthetic business
In Holland and Africa Hemp fibre is making a comeback and the designer pantalons and shirts sell for very high prices because the quality is superior than linnen.
these fibre plants do not produce drugs to speak of and are worthless for the drug market .it is the fibre that is the value.
and organically speaking it is an exelent plant to recuporate tired soils ,after cattle and corn field have practically destroyed the land, because the plant is deep rooted grows on most altitudes, and breaks open or loosens compacted soils as well as secreting nitrogen

It is all about the money. Pot is so easy to grow that *anyone* can do it so they have no way to control the stuff thus cannot tax it. Alcoholic beverage is also easy to make *if* one has the equipment to distill and the grain to cook and ferment. It is a simple process but it takes special equipment so most do not mess with it. Pot growing takes only a flowerpot, some dirt, water, and a viable seed. Figure a way to control it so that it can be taxed and you will find it for sale at you corner liquor store. Hemp should not be illegal since it contains microscopic amounts of THC but since it *looks* a bit like cannabis sativa, the numnuts of lawmakers have included hemp in their overbearing law. idiots.

Yes. This is true. American Farmers Tried to get it legalized several years ago, because it would be a great cash crop for them to grow. Politicians were more worried about their public image than the good of the country, imagine that. Now, you have more illegal pot grown in America than hemp, because the farmers aren't law breakers. It would be a great industry for the United States.

Isn't it strange that 99% of the people fascinated by the Hemp industry are potheads? The product does have legitimate uses, but obviously we dont NEED it. So...Why bother? Farmers are doing just fine cashing their Ethanol Subsidy checks.
