how do you get a picture for your icon thing to show up when you answer a question? I just have a smiley face

Go to your Q&A page.Click on edit my info and follow directions.

click on your username or "smiley" to access your stats page. then click edit my info and in the picture box, choose use my avatar if you have one. Or you can use your yahoo 360 pic if you have that. To get an avatar, when you log in to mail, click the box beside your name to get to the avatar site. There, you can create an avatar to use as a picture in Yahoo answers!

Go to avatar.yahoo.com and create an avatar. Then go to your info on here and select "use avatar".

If you want a picture you have to have a 360 page. Dowload your picture there. Then go to your info on here and select "use 360 picture"(or something close to that)
