I can only type 18 WPM (not looking) or mid 30 WPM (looking). Am I a failure in life?

    Only if typing speed is your life. In that case, it wouldn't matter how fast you type.

    Are you sure those are the right numbers. 5 strokes (including spaces) count as a word. Seems kind of slow to type only 2.5 strokes per second while looking. 

    Isn’t that why doctors dictates while someone scribes what he says.
