I love the series it's one of my favorites (besides Farscape and Andromeda), I think that between the great plots and the fantastic character development, it really has a lot going for it. I mean how many other shows last ten years- not many (not to mention it also inspired Atlantis which has become quite successful).

When it comes to O'Neill and Mitchell, it's really hard to decide who I like better; and I think it's unfair to judge Mitchell this early on considering RDA had eight years of playing O'Neill but Ben Browder has only been there for one. However, both of their performances have been wonderful, you'd be hard pressed to find a better leader of SG-1 than one of them. They both bring (or in O'Neill's case, have brought) a great dynamic to the show, and it really wouldn't be the same without them.

As for the whole Jack/Sam relationship, I really have nothing against it, but I'm not in favor of it either. In my opinion, a little bit of romance on the show is okay, but if they had ever gotten together, I think it really might have made things very different.

I LOVE Stargate. My brother got me hooked on it after Star Trek Voyager went off the air, and I had all the seasons on DVD within a few months...

As for Jack vs. Mitchell, I really miss Jack but I DO feel Mitchell has a lot of potential. He's still in awe of his "legendary" teammates, still got a fighter jock's ego, and is unsure of his place on the team, but he's at least willing to learn anything the rest of SG-1 will let him: bugging Sam in her lab, trying to get Teal'c into another apartment, and hanging around Daniel while he does his 'thing' with ancient stuff.

Jack and Sam relationship? I like the underlying tension of the relationship more than thought of the actual relationship itself. For years, it allowed the show to portray the plight of many a serviceman or woman, in that fraterinization isn't permitted, and with good reason: Jack's feelings for Sam had him sticking around on a Goa'uld ship rigged to blow, and her feelings for him had her heedlessly racing across a battlefield when he was injured.

I've also discovered that Sam is a stronger, smarter woman when she's NOT in a relationship. I liked Pete, thought he was a great guy, but Sam was pretty much a giggling idiot anytime he was around instead of an squared-away military officer.

I absolutely love SG-1 - The movie and the series .. I also love SG-Atlantis. I miss Jack but I like Mitchell and Im glad they got him and Claudia Black from the Farscape series.

I like Jack much better and I can't wait for them to put Sam and Jack together.

Sorry I do not like Stargate SG-1 so I have no clue what you are asking about.
