I have a six-bone hoop skirt that I bought to go under a civil war gown. The problem is that the hoop is a little too big for the gown and makes it too short (brings it up about 5 or 6 inches from the floor), though you cannot see the hoop once I pinned the ruffle up. My question is, can I take out the sixth hoop? I'm thinking it might help with the length problem, but I'm also afraid that once I take it out, it will never go back in again. Any advice?

I plan on taking a trip to Europe in the summer. I will be starting out in Salzburg, Austria, but I pretty much have cart blanche as to where I go from there. I was just reading an article on yahoo about the new senate bill making it illegal to take minors over state lines to get an abortion without the parent's consent. What do you think? We hardly let minors take aspirin without parental consent, yet we allow them to have major surgery? What about the case of the boyfriend who wants to shirk his responsibly and so forces the girl to get an abortion? Or is it all part of a "woman's right to choose?"
