My lil bro does, he got a $1000 scholarship for collage because of it - of course he lives in a small city. I'm so proud of him!

Absolutely love it.
Chess is something you can play and study your whole life (and still not come close to learning everything there is to know about the game).
And studying it can be just as much fun as playing it, because if you have a good teacher (or a good book), you can learn something new every time you turn around.
I have almost 90 books in my chess library, and I've got a list of about 15 more that I'm about to order. Puzzle books, tactics books, strategy books, books on openings, endgames, positional play, analysis, everything!
Chess is simply awesome...Gotta be the greatest game ever invented!

Its an exceedingly intellectually stimulating interest, and in case you pit 2 fighters with comparable mind (yet distinctive concepts) against one yet another, you won't be able to be assured a definite effect. Its the line to the victory that's relaxing - no longer who wins or loses. I found out to play chess from my father, and he grow to be an outstanding instructor. whether, that's extra durable and extra durable at present to discover every person who cares to take a seat down for a pair hours and play a stable interest of chess.

Ya
But only if the game is completed within half an hour.

That is the only way to learn it.
And believe it or not it is fun, even if the match goes longer than five hours.

Sure do! But it has to be quick. I hate playing with people who take forever - just to make the most obvious move.
