as far as i know the cruise control is hooked up to your speedometer for one thing and in some models its also the brakes. there should be a cable running down your speed and brake cables. check for and cuts or fradded line. you can by a new one or get one at a junk yard pretty cheap.

a jeep is not a vehicle to "cruise" in. now, a 57 bel air, 67 stang 2+2 gto, chevelle, any old truck, we'll go cruise'n together in those alrighty then. any old car, truck, even bikes are cool to cruise'n < sorry couldn't resist>

My guess it's the cruise "ON" button on the wheel. Had the same problem. Probably just needs cleaning.

CHECK YOUR VACUMN LINES CAUSE THE CRUISE CONTROL CANISTER IS HELD BY VACUMN AND IF IT LEAKS IT WON'T WORK LOTS OF ELECTRICAL TO LOOK AT AS WELL. CHECK ALL FUSES AND RELAYS.
