MATTHEW 24:30 - And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

No. The concepts of the 2nd coming and hell, are both control mechanisms. The original control mechanism of hell didn't work as part of the reward/punishment thing, so it had to be taken to the next level. It is the fear of being left behind and at the mercy of the anti-christ that compels some to "stay prayed up because you never know when christ will return." BAH!! The 2nd coming has been expected ever since, according to the STORY, the death of jesus as a common criminal. Then, on the other hand, there are those christians who say that jesus has already come again and again by those who believe.

The biggest problem is that some take the stories in the bible as literal, when all they are, are metaphors that connect us to a cultural experience so long ago.

So, if anyone wants to live as though this christ is coming soon, go ahead, if it makes you feel better; if you need that kind of control mechanism in your life. I have no need for it.

I know he will return! He promised He would. I just hope it's sooner rather than later... I'm tired of this world. I'd like to go to Heaven now!

Yes i Believe Jesus Christ will return.

I don't know about Muslims but as a christian I do believe Jesus will return because He said He would and He cannot lie. As to when, that's not our place our know, just to be ready.

Let me clarify. Muslims do not believe in Jesus the way I (a Christian) believe in Him. I believe that Jesus is the Son of God. I believe that He (while on earth) was fully God and fully man. I believe He died on the cross for my sins and arose from death three days later. I believe the ONLY way to Heaven is to believe in Him. And I believe one day He will come back and rapture His people. So, if you believe all that, then we are the same page. If you do not believe in that then, IMO, you do not fully believe in Jesus.

Yes, Jesus will surely return. The Bible (which is the Word of God and God Himself) says so. It says as we saw Him ascend into heaven, so shall we see Him descend on the Great Rapture Day.

I strongly believe and every creature should.

It is in the Bible, is it not? I am very curious as to the fact that Christian, Jewish, and Muslim people believe in many of the same things. I wonder if many people realize that. If they did, would they discriminate so much? We are all God's children.
