How would the works of Riis, Hine, Lange & other documentary photogs differ if digital were available to them?

Good question. Jacob Riis was known at times not to plan a photograph, like barging on some immigrants late at night without their preparation, to get a tired look and doing other wild things; I'd say he'd own one of those really tiny digital cameras and put it in a pocket, perhaps do some surveillance and truly document these people. Also since cell phones have digital cameras he'd take one inconspicuously, looking like hes dialing numbers. All of these photographers would be able to make a bigger portfolio of photographs because of the maximum pictures you could put on a memory card.
