You have plenty of horsepower.... the problem is traction... even on dry pavement you could have wheel spin.....try NOT to spin the tires.... EASY DOES IT!
Keeping in mind that the slope or decline of the ramp is very important....LESS SLOPE IS EASIER!
IF YOU CAN SPARE $15....purchase (4) 80 LB. sacks of concrete
WET the sacks down....with water.... and allow to dry ....
Each time you go boating... place the 4 (hardened) sacks of concrete over your back tires....
A little extra work..... but better than having a bunch of other boaters... making fun of you!

2000 pounds is not particularly heavy, boat hauling-wise, but in your owners manual is a section on towing which will tell you what your vehicle's capacity is and what equipment you might have installed for such things. A lot depends on the condition of your tires and the angle and condition of the ramp. There are some ramps I wouldn't want to launch a canoe from on a sunny day. Under normal circumstances, a truck that size and engine should be able to get it in and out without a problem. Some ramps are so steep and slippery, however, that only a vehicle with four-wheel drive can keep you from joining the boat in the water. Look before you back up.

i have used my old 1991 4.3 V6 to launch my boat, and that was 2000lbs, no problem. as said, traction can be a problem when wet, especially backing down, keep it slow, if its wet or a bit steep, you hit the brakes and the front wheels have a habit of sliding, so, just keep it slow, and be fine

NO PROBLEM. IT WOULD BE EVEN EASIER IF YOU HAVE 4WD, OR A LONG ENOUGH TRAILER THAT WHEN YOU BACK DOWN THE RAMP YOUR REAR TRUCK TIRES ARE NOT ON WET PAVEMENT OR DIRT. LAUNCHING IS EASY, WHEN YOU GO TO BRING IT IN, JUST MAKE SURE THE DRIVE WHEELS HAVE PLENTY OF TRACTION.
