Where can I go to find and download missing drivers.?
For example, I recently installed a new sound card. Problem is, now my comp is saying I need to insert my Windows CD to download the file gm16.dls. I don't have my Windows CD; where else can I download it.

you should always check the manufacturer's website for drivers, typically in a support or download area. You can also checkout http://www.windrivers.com/ an excellent =source for drivers. Once you get the driver, extract it to a folder and then when Windows asks the location of the file, point it to you new folder.

If I knew the name of the sound card I might be able to find the drivers for you. Cant promise anything though. Or you can search this site for yours, theres loads listed http://www.computerhope.com/drivers/sound.htm Good luck.

There are many good sites for finding drivers. I would recommend you search the site where you got the sound card otherwise my favorite drivers site is linked below. Good Luck

this sounds like an ess sound driver. ess was purchased by http://www.soundblaster.com/ if you can find what model of sound card you may be able to get a complete driver there
