they look much different.. their faces are airbrushed and their bodies and even made to look skinnier. as far as the makeup thing goes, no girl looks exactly the same with makeup as she does without it

I once read an appeal from a 'super model' to young women. If I remember correctly, it was Christy Brinkley. She said that women should not be trying to look like Christy Brinkley, because even SHE did not look like Christie Brinkley. For a fashion photo, she spends an hour with a hair dresser, then another hour with a make up artist. When the clothes are on, there are lots of clips and clothespins behind her to make the clothes hang and fit just exactly right. Then a lighting tech adjusts all the lighting to make the clothes and her look best. Then a few hundred photos are snapped. The best looking of all these is chosen and an airbrush artist enhances it to make everything look even MORE perfect.

I have never SEEN Ms. Brinkely without her make up, but I will take her word for it.

some do. like those print ad models for clean & clear. but most models you see in the magazines these days aren't as good looking as they seem on the ads of course. their pictures have been airbrushed as well as edited by photoshop to fix the imperfection.

They are airbrushed...believe me. They don't always look the way they do without touch ups. The computer does wonders these days...don't rely on those pictures and compare yourself to them! They're not real!

no one looks like what they look like in magazines.

I went to school with a girl that modeled for 17 all the time, and she had some of the worst acne I have ever seen.

You should take a photoshop class, you'll realize that nothing is what it seems to be, especially in advertising.

it is all fake, they airbrush their imperfections, does that make you feel better?
