Just wanted to ask is it safe to ....?

its never safe to display ur pic as ever type of person see u.i strongly say not to display ur pic.yahoo has done quite a lot 4 u.display ur avtar.

If you do not feel comfortable with having other people see your picture, it is best for you not to put it. This is about your own preferences. Not showing your face helps prevent the middle stalkers, although if someone really wanted to go after anyone, I think that they may find other means anyways =(

If you do not feel comfortable about putting your picture in the place of the avatar, then don't do it. Find a picture that means something to you and use it instead.

It should be safe, just don't put too much personal information on your profile, so people can't track you down!

As a general rule, I must admit I don't pay that much attention to the avatars anyway!

Is it safe? Depends on your definition of safe. If you don't think that your picture should be broadcasted for the entire world to see, don't put in the web. (Note my avatar is nothing)

If you are uncomfortable doing it, then don't. There is no right or wrong involved. As for safety.....well that's something else you must find a comfort level for.

You might not want strangers to know all about you and your thoughts, so I think you've made the right choice.
