I am a 21 year ol working mother.My marriage is on the rocks.We were married for 2 and a half years n i have a 3 month old baby.My husband is a dominating person n he even used to hit me.He even hit me during my pregnancy.My father-in-law ia a patient of accute depression as this runs in their family,I had a miscarriage because of one of his fits.my husband has not been supporting me or my child for the last 7 months.I am living with my parents who have been supporting me n my child all this while...my husband did come to see our baby when he was born but did not bear any medical expenses.In fact he made demands for gifts from my parents.

My in-laws used to make dowry demands...they are greedy n eccentric people.I do not want to live their nor do i want my child to have such a bad atmosphere to grow in...my husband has threatened to take my baby away legally..though i dont earn as well as him but i am working...i have the support of my family in raising my child..

Im 20 weeks pregnant n the ultrasound suggested that my baby is fine n weighs around 22 ounces or 640 gms.

Now, the doctor apparently,said everythings normal but Ive read that around 20 weeks the baby is supposed to weigh appx 9-10 ounces.

Whats more,I have only gained a kilo or 2 pounds till now(not that I dislike that haha)

I cant help but wonder what this means,otherwise my baby is very active and everything else is fine (touchwood)!

Does it have anything to do with my height?Im 5'11.

Hi.Im 16 weeks pregnant and had my last ultrasound at 9 weeks which showed everything was fine.Then I visited my doctor after a month and she said evrything was fine.I had already felt fluttering or quickening when I visited my doc and she told me that was my baby moving in me!I was delighted but that was around the 12th week or so.I felt baby move at week 11 and the movement was felt sporadically till week 13.But I havnt felt those 'butterflies' ever since.After week 13 till now ie; week 16 I havnt felt a thingthough my tummy has swelled slightly.Im worried.Is this normal?Please advise.

Seriously,when they added a polls and surveys section,the yahoo staff must have had authentic,useful,real sort of surveys in mind that probably help those who have to go door to door to collect data they maybe concerned with.

Although we do get to have fun asking and answering witty questions or even lame ones at times,has anyone ever seen an authentic survey or poll here?

Im a married woman 20 years of age.I was in the 11th week of my pregnancy when I had spotting.My husband and I immediately went to the doctor and she suggsted an ultrasound.I had an external and internal ultrasound which stated that the baby was dead.It had matured only upto 8 weeks and 5 days while I was in my 11th week and there was no cardiac movement in the baby.The doctor said an abortion was a must since the baby is dead.Our world was shattered as this was a very very wanted child.We couldnt understand why....well,its already been a harsh time.Not that I felt any pain during the abortion.The doctor gave me anastheasia and I didnt come to know a thing.The recovery is taking time,but the emotional pain is deep.And now im worried about the next time.Will I be able to concieve?Will my baby have any effect due to this unwanted abortion?Will I get breast cancer?Or any sexual dysfunction?Please help.

See...Im been married 7 months or so and do not plan to have children just as yet.What bothers me is mealtimes.Everytime we sit together on the dining table...my mum-in-law brings out something a little too sweet for everyone to eat.I hate sweets...I like my diet to be healthy n I take sugar in the right amount but I cant gorge on sweetmeats...I hate it.And the worst part is that everyone forces me to try them out because according to them its required in pregnancy.How do I convince them that gorging on oil and sugar does not give healthy babies...only an uncontrolabally fat young mother.

Please help.If they force me right now...I wonder what they'll do when im pregnant.O god I hate sweets ...N I miss mom.
