What's the best harmonica solo you've ever heard? Who played it?
(only humorous or serious answers only...anyone being ugly or gaming for points with stupid "I don't know" or similar answers will be reported)
I like Whammer Jammer from the Full House Live album by J. Geils :) Love that one!!
Man, I'm gonna have to look some of these up. TN GAl and Oskar, I'll give Limewire a try and the Smoke on the Water suggestion. Never heard of Taylor because, well, I really don't care for American Idol. Can't wait for Simon to come out with American Talent, tho, his new reality show that's in the works.
Got Sonny Boy at home! That man can blow :)

Whats his name...(my mind went blank) The lead singer for Blues Traveler can sure play the harmonica. Taylor Hicks on American Idol can play a mean harmonica too.

Cinderella i imagine has extra helpful song, Tom Keifer the singer/songwriter/guitarist/Pianist/saxa... each little thing else, is so a lot extra gifted than the Motley men. besides the very undeniable truth that i love Motley as well, yet see Cinderella stay, that's extra about song, and taking section in. tremendous Blues stuff too.

There is a guy that Stevie Ray Vaughn discovered. His group is called Anson Funderburgh and The Rockets (feat. Sam Meyers). Sam Meyers is his harmonica player. I saw them live in Chicago. Sam Meyers can hardly see, he is crippled with arthritis, but when he put a harmonica to his mouth.....WOOOOO! Don't remember the name of the solo he did, but he rocked!!!!! God Bless!

Anything from Bob Dylan...
Also: "Fancy Man Blues" from the Stones... Mick Jagger plays it...
In Led Zeppelin's version of "When the Levee Breaks" Robert Plant has a pretty cool harmonica part...
And there's a Muddy Waters song... I can't think of the name...

Can't recall his name (and just heard him last week-duh!),
but he played the harmonica on Deep Purple's 'Smoke On The Water'.
